A six week consultation period on revisions to Calderdale Council’s development plan has commenced on the 10th January and ends on the 24th February 2020. It follows feedback from the planning inspectorate on the first phase of hearings that ended last summer.
Calderdale Council aim to deliver around 1000 new homes per year over a 10 – 15 year period, aiming to meet the target of 14,950 new homes across the district. The produced list of Additional Housing Supply sites is formed predominantly from sites previously rejected on the assumption that there was a supply of more suitable and available sites elsewhere.
The additional sites cover Brighouse, Elland, Halifax, Mytholmroyd, Northowram, Shelf, Ripponden and Todmorden.
Public comments can now be made on the proposals via the councils website at www.calderdale.gov.uk/localplan
